Julia Courtenay, Production Planning / Assistant Directing |
Julia has worked in the film industry as a 1st Assistant Director for 14 years, in both England and Canada. Her experience covers features, series, made-for-tv movies and commercials, low and high budget, and includes credits such as Shoot To Kill, Poltergeist (The Legacy), American Harvest, Stone Fox, Jump Street, Sean Hunt, Booker, Street Justice, Hawkeye and many more. More recently, Julia has served as the Training Coordinator for the Directors Guild of Canada and then as an instructor at Vancouver Film School. She also freelances as an instructor inside and outside of the province, teaching the BC Set Orientation Course, WHMIS, Assistant Directing and Production Assistant Workshops.
